  1. I am very close to buying a Fuji Finepix S7000. Any thoughts on this camera
    would be appreciated.

It's a great camera. As with it's predecessor, the S602, it has some great
features. Best movie mode among digital still cameras, closest super macro,
and a unique "final 5" continuous shooting mode which lets you keep shooting
those "action shots", etc.until you get the shot you want, then release the
shutter and save the last 5 shots taken. Full automatic and manual control
    and a 6x optical zoom.

The features it lacks are focus assist light, distance scale display for
focus, and a "B" exposure (max. is 15 sec.)

I have the S602 and I am very pleased. The S7000 is very similar, but with
twice the resolution. There are a few other improvements as well.

    Good luck!
