Fuji S500 or Dimage Z1

    hi again
    so, which one is better - Fuji FinePix S5000 or Minolta Dimage Z1....? The
    price in Croatia is nearly the same...

    any hint is wellcome!

    I like the Fuji products...i think you get the most bang fo ryou buck
    in features, and the image quality is great.
    I have a Finepix 1400Zoom and now a S602 (not sure on price in
    Croatiia, but can be had on eBay for about the same price as a S5000
    and is a better camera, feature wise)

    As to durability, i have seen posts from a few folks that claim 50,000
    plus pics, and still going.

    I cannot give personal experience of these cameras - they are on my
    short list too.

    However, I have looked at all the test images on the usual review
    sites. In particular I have test charts for both these cameras (I
    forget which site they came from.) The Fuji shows colour fringing
    except in the centre of the image but a better resolution across the
    whole image than than the Minolta.
