I'm thinking of buying an 8 GB compact flash card for my S602 and was
wondering if something like this would be OK - http://www.tiny.cc/YFWjQ.

There seems to be a huge variation in price for these cards, viz
http://www.tiny.cc/mhBGr. Why would that be - quality? The cheaper card has
    a lifetime guarantee.

If anyone has any experience of this size of flash card I'd be grateful for
    your comments.

Make sure, first, that your camera supports large (>2GB) CF cards; many
cameras that are old enough to use CF are limited to FAT16, which means 2GB.

    2GB.

Thanks for that, Bob - can you tell me how I would check?

The SanDisk website lists its 2GB CF card as the biggest one for the Fuji S602.
Since SanDisk makes 4GB cards but does not list them for that camera, I surmise
that 2GB is the max. -- likely due to FAT16 (but not FAT32) support.

Many thanks for the information, Bob - I was hoping it would take at lease
    4GB card - never mind!
