I am trying to find out if I can use a 256mb Smartmedia, or a 512mb
    compactflash with my Finepix s602.
Fuji says they haven't tested that camera with anything larger than 128mb.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

The largest Smart Media cards are only 128MB, and they work fine. CF cards
are available up to 4GB (as far as I know), but I'm not sure that those
would work. I do use a 1GB CF card (Type II) and it's fine. Actaully I have
that and the 128mb SM card in the camera. I use the 1GB CF for most shots,
but I switch to SM when I do panoramic sequences. That way, I can find all
of them easily later. I also use the voice annotation to record info on the
first image of each panoramic series....... where it was taken, how many
images in the series, if they are horizontal or vertical, left ot right, top
to bottom, etc. Makes life easier later on when I go to stitch them
    together.
