Fuji S7000 and S2 Pro 6MP CCDs -Are They The Same?

I have a Fuji S602Z with a 3MP CCD which I'm completely happy with... However,
I see that the S7000Z has a 6MP CCD; also that the Fuji S2 Pro has a 6MP CCD...
The question is are they the same...???

The reason I ask is that Dave's Imaging Resources shows a significant
improvement in the S2 Pro's resolution over the S602 in:

In that same URL is Steve's Digicams test shots of a school with no apparent
increase in resolution of the 7000 over the 602... I realize this is not a
valid comparison, but Dave has yet to measure the resolution of the 7000...

The question arises, "Will the Fuji 7000 lens focus on the 6MP CCD as well as
the Nikon lens does for the S2 Pro, -or at least improve on the 602"????

The sensor size. The sensor in the S2 is considerably larger, which means
you will get far less noise in you images, therefore better quality and fine
detail rendition. I wouldn't honestly epect the S7000 to produce much better
    results than the 602.
