  1. I have the canon g9 and was wondering what the dofference was between mine
    and a DSLR. i know mine is just a digital camera but was wanting to know why
    DSLR are different and do they take better pics.

    good point I have taken photos both ways. and I also use bi focals.I prefer
    looking through the viewfinder. also it may sound weird but I feel more like
    I am part of the camera that way.

    I hate using the LCD panel. I only use it for viewing the picture after it
    has been taken. Having a camera pressed up againsed your face can, in some
    respects, dictate the way you hold the camera and thus helps keep the camera
    steady. However, there are some circumstances where live LCD view can be
    handy. I own both types (SLR and Compact) and both have viewfinders. Mind
    you, there are an increasing amount of compacts being produced that do not
    have viewfinders.
