"In 1964 Barry Goldwater declared: 'Elect me president, and I
will bomb the cities of Vietnam, defoliate the jungles, herd the
population into concentration camps and turn the country into a
wasteland.' But Lyndon Johnson said: 'No! No! No! Don't you dare do
    that. Let ME do it.'"

    - Characterization (paraphrased) of the 1964 Goldwater/Johnson
presidential race by Professor Irwin Corey, "The World's Foremost
    Authority".

I keep seeing your sig line, and it reminds me of seeing live
performances of Professor Irwin Corey in Chicago in the early 60s. He
was a regular at the Gate of Horn there. Another regular was "Lord
Richard Buckley"; another person who required your full and complete
attention to follow. Buckley was known most for his hipster versions
of Shakespeare. Buckley died in November, 1960, but I saw him perform
    twice that year.

Corey is now in his 90s and still performing.
