I have an old scanner that I was going to donate. Upon inspection I
noticed the glass is coming loose from the plastic frame. Taking the top
frame off, I noticed the glass is glued to the top plastic frame.

Any recommendations or know of a glass adhesive that will do the trick?

Never thought that double sided tape would be sturdy enough to withstand
any pressure against the glass. Must be industrial strength tape?? I'll
    look into it. Thanks.

Well, where I work we use doublesided 3M tape to adhere plastic labels to
metal and they stay on for many decades.

Clear silicone works well, just give it time to set up.
