I charge a battery, insert it and in about one second the battery icon starts blinking and goes empty immediately.
Have tried a different battery, also a Chinese knockoff, NP-BK1. Exactly the same result. I'm waiting on an original Sony brand battery + a new charger to arrive in the the mail, but, being pessimistic, I just know the same thing's going to happen!
My question is....Can it be the camera shorting out or something? It starts beautifully with that lovely tinkly sound and goes off before I can say, "Oh heck" ()
Camera has never been dropped and I have truly loved it for over three years...
    I need some help here!!
