I have a tripod that my father left to me. It is about 35 years old
and a real workhorse. Because I have an old Pentax K100 (very heavy
and all metal), today's tripods are too flimsy and fall over when I
put the camera on it. Can anyone suggest a new tripod that would
compare to my old one? Only need a new one because I need to have two
cameras set up all the time.

    Slik 300DX. Cheap, sturdy, good.
