Grey balance plug-in for Photoshop Win/Mac

Discussion in 'Photoshop Tutorials' started by Constant Dupuis, Sep 11, 2003.

  1. Hello,

I attend to a numeric photo cours 2 weeks ago.
We use a Phase One digital back. In the capture software
a tool allow us to set the grey reference as fast as selecting a grey
pixel. A kind of grey balance picker.
    All color dominante vanished !

Does any body known a plug-in that does the same on any file in
Photoshop under Mac and Windows ?

    Thanks

    Constant

use the camera raw plugin for photoshop,
if you worked with capture i guess you work with raw,
in the camera raw window there is a droper for white balance,
as capture does, the dropers in photoshop, levels or curves, they
    arent for white balance

  4. Yes this is the idea, but usable on "simple" jpeg files. Smaller file so
    also good for the "reportage".
I will try the RAW plug-in as sone as I get my own camera. For the
moment I only play with someone (how live) else camera and with PhaseOne
    or Sinar back during trainings.

I guess they can have some loss on 8bits files with that kind of tool.

    Thanks

    Constant
