I received a 3GB video file identified by gspot with these characteristic:

    codec H264/x264
    name ITU H.26n
    x:y 720x404
    FPS 29.97
    run length 3 hrs

After downloading ffdshow, I can view the file in windows media player and
    virtualdub.

But, I still cannot make tmpgenc or premiere pro 1.5 accepts the file. I
want to put it on a DVD so I can watch it elsewhere (no computer) on a dvd
    player.

Any ideas? I checked videohelp.com and there is no guide for H264 -> DVD.
The brute force solution would be to use virtualdub to export a lossless
    format understood by premiere/tmpgenc.
However, that would take more disk space than I have.

    Any suggestions?

If it will play in VLC you can have it convert it to a file.

Try doom9.org, their forums will likely have suggestions.

Also, you don't HAVE to export to a lossless format with virtualdub.
I've had good results using the YUV codec.
