hacking a Canon ZR80

    Has anyone here taken apart a Canon ZR80? I own one and since the
    budget is currently extremely tight I was thinking about taking mine
    apart to add an external microphone connector. However, I wanted to
    see if anyone had already either done this, or was familiar with the
    space inside the unit near the AV connector. It appears that there
    might be enough space for me to put in an additional 1/8" connector
    under the existing AV 1/8" socket.

    Any suggestions? Past experience? Diagrams?
