they're both photoshop, no matter how much you think otherwise.

want more proof? write a plug-in and it works in both apps. that could
not happen if they were *different*.

more bullshit and this has nothing to do with apple anyway.

and you further demonstrate just how big of a lying hypocrite you are.

The issue isn't what app *is*, but what the app is *called* and what
term is used to refer to the app. To call Elements "Photoshop" is
misleading. To call Elements "Adobe Photoshop Elements (V)" is
descriptive, but unnecessary when simply "Elements" - or, as you would
    write - "elements" will do.

However, "elements" only works when it is understood that the domain
under discussion is Photoshop. Otherwise, Premiere Elements comes in
    which can lead to confusion.

Eric must have had severe problems back when there was a Photoshop CS6 and
    a Photoshop CS6 Extended. :)

And on cue - Andreas Skitsnack joins again to post some outright lies.

Interesting. Do you consider statements like I made above to be
    "lies"?

What part was confusing to you, Andreas?

Well, I don't consider that when you use the name "Andreas" for me
that it is a "lie". It falls in a different area of usage. But, I
know you struggle with English usage, so it doesn't concern me.

No problem. He just didn't buy either. Now he has CC and the benefit of both.

what the app is called is irrelevant.

photoshop elements used to be called photoshop le and then marketing
    decided to change the name.

is it now a different product? nope. it is just a later version of the
    same product, but renamed.

    but you'll never understand that.

    it's completely meaningless.

more importantly, it demonstrates a sheer lack of understanding of
what's being discussed. you haven't *any* clue.

I believe what we have here is another example of humor not translating
between cultures, regardless of an ability to understand, or interpret
    each word used.

BTW: What/who the **** is "Andreas Skitsnack"?
Is that some sort of Swedish thing, those of us not of Scandinavian
descent, or familiar with Scandinavian culture, haven't got a clue
    about.
....and Google is no help at all in this regard. So if it is meant as a
joke or attempt at Swedish humor, I don't get it.

Not at the beginning, when you said Photoshop was available for $50.
    That's where all this started.

I think here is where this thing ought to end.

Well, they are different. If you want to know how different see
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4568487 which is an Adobe page.

At the best Photoshop Elements is a subset of Photoshop CS.

It's a name I came up with a while back in a post relating to a thread
in which our Swedish Popinjay made his usual comments. "Skitsnack" is
Swedish for "bullshit". Sandman has appropriated the word. It fits
    him like a handske.

Oh, yeah. Google Translate would have given you the answer.
