    Hi,

I just received a beseler heat absorbing glass for the 23c from a
seller on e-bay. The glass is still in its original envelope from
beseler. I am surprised to find not one, but _two_ sheets. They are
not the same. One is thick glass, the other is thinner and appears to
be plastic. Is the plastic sheet there for protection during shipping,
or is it supposed to play some role in the heat absorption process
    (besides melting perhaps :) )?

The plastic sheet is frequently used to support filters. So now you have a
    filter support and heat glass.
