I am Alan J from Cambridge, England. Like most school kids in the late '60s I had a reasonable camera. When the parents wanted me out the way one night, I was taken by a policewoman neighbour to (Old) Scotland Yard to attend a social club lecture by the photographic section and visit the darkrooms of the Met. Police in London. It was there that I became interested in photography and darkroom. In the years since, there has been periods of intense interest followed by longer times where I have done nothing. I have a large drawer full of Olympus OM cameras, lenses, accessories, and other kit including filters. It has now been joined by an E-420 and the two zoom lenses which came with the camera. (Not one of my better decisions, but I am stuck with it. I did not find the camera instruction booklet that helpful too) Unfortunately, my enlarger did not survive when I moved house. I now plan to learn about familiarising myself with the E-420 and photo editing packages. I also want to learn about macro and Infra red. I don't plan to give up on film and I am looking for help in making up my mind on an enlarger. Here, I think an LPL Jobo C7700 would suit my needs, but I prefer the use of condensers as opposed to diffusers.
