I just found this forum, looks interesting. I've been shooting since the earth cooled, first with film both BW and color, and now digitally also. With used darkroom gear now available cheaply I'm returning to the dark side for some wet work - the harmless kind! Except to the wallet. Back in the day I processed Ekatchrome, with the dearth of labs for slide film I guess I'll have to do it again, and add C 41 processing to my skill set.

I shoot mainly Pentax, both 35mm - K 1000, ME-Super, MX, LX - and medium format, 645n. Digital gear includes K 10 and K 5. I recently scored an Olympus OM 4 and added a winder and 28mm and 135mm lenses. Nice little item!

Some of my classic cameras include Retina IIIc, Voigtlander Vitessa L, Zeiss Ikon Contessa, Busch Pressman 2 x 3, Yashicamat 124G all working, at least at present! Using one of these classics in public is a blast! People don't know what to think, some are amazed that film is still available. We still mourn Kodachrome....

Anyhow I look forward to learning from you good folks and maybe I can contribute something, too.

I used to buy film in batches of 100 rolls or some such, so I was taken by surprise one time when I went into my favorite place to buy film at a good price--and there wasn't a roll of film in sight. The young sales clerks looked at me, when I asked, as if I were from another planet. I knew that I'd love and hate going to digital, but I finally did (about 10 years ago) and I was right: I love it and I hate it. I never wanted to process my own film, unlike you, George. Now that I *can*, I *must*. ;) Bah.
