Help - 35mm digital film scanners

Discussion in 'Scanners' started by o r b s c u r e DDJ, Jul 11, 2003.

  1. Hi all...

I'm looking at purchasing some 35mm rolls of b/w archive material
and would in turn like to scan the rolls and transfer to CD.... I've
done a bit of online research and would welcome any feedback on
personal experiences with the multitude of film scanners available
    (ie Primefilm 1800AFL etc)

    Thanks in advance

    Pete

  2. Hi guys...

    and thanks for the feedback...
I'm not really sure - I'll only be using the scanner to convert rolls of
35mm black & white archive film (from the NASM in the US) onto
    Cd-Rom... not much else...
Thanks for the confirmation. I've already got a Canon N1240U flatbed
scanner and fully appreciate its limitations with regards film transfer...
Thanks for the suggestion - one question though, can this read from a roll
of 35mm film, or am I going to have to cut the film into smaller strips?

    Thanks again for the input,

    Pete
