I have an Rollei 35 with Tessar that is in near mint condition except
its meter works intermitently as if the battery is not making good
contact. I cleaned the contact serveral times and it didn't make any
difference. I remember a few years ago reading a website that had the
info on how to fix this apparently common problem in the metering
circuit. Does anyone have the URL for it or the similar websites, or can
anyone tell me what needs to be done?

I have links to several Rollei 35 resources on my web site:

I have a Rollei 35S on which the meter was successfully repaired by a local
camera repair shop - one of the technicians apparently used to work for
Rollei. I had forgotten to take the battery out of the camera before
storing it and the battery had leaked. Apparently, if the acid gets into
the metering circuitry, the meter might or might not be repairable; some
parts are no longer available. One side benefit of having the meter
repaired was that the shop recalibrated it for modern silver batteries
instead of the mercury ones it was originally designed for.

    Best regards,
