I am trying to figure out the best way to prepare an image in
photoshop to be printed on color paper. I'd like to be able to see an
aproximation on my computer screen before I print it. I'm working
    with photos I've alreay taken.

My first idea is to print onto an almost magenta sheet of paper (I
thought this might be easyer to do). But I would like to use difrent
    colors later on.

I've tried some of the diffrent blending options with a layer of
magenta fill, but haven't found anything that works.

    Thanks for any ideas

  2. Have you tried the obvious idea of making your bottom or background layer
the color of your paper (scan a sample of the paper, if necessary), and
simply removing that layer from the final print by clicking on its "eye" on
the layer's pallet to hide it?
