This a a strange request i know, but some of the folks on here seem very
    knowledgable in these matters!

I paid for a rather expensive lens from a chap in Victoria some time
ago, but have not heard from him for a while now. Unfortunately I have
lost his phone number and address, and i'm desperately trying to contact
    him.

I do have his full name, suburb, bank details and occupation but can't
find any details through either whitepages or google.

Does anyone know how i could go about getting his phone number?

Any help is much appreciated, and feel free to pm or email me if you
    can assist at all.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Cheers

    G'day Dave

You don't mention if you bought through eBay, but if you did, then his
contact details are available to you as the buyer. This link is for
    their Security and Resolution Centre

    http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?InrCreateDispute

If you paid via Paypal you might be able to reverse the payment, they
also cover the non-receival of items up to $1500.

Hope you get the lens, or your money back. Hate to see that happen to
    anyone.

thanks for the quick replies guys!

No, i'm a new case. I'm not sure i've been scammed yet, as the guy was
very helpful earlier, but kept making excuses and now its been another
month since i've heard from him.

It was bought from the trading post via direct deposit. I'm sure if i
need to i can go through his bank and try and get my money back but i'd
    much rather have the lens!

I'll check the grey pages. Thanks a lot!

    Cheers
