Hiring a Filmographer

Just out of interest, I wondered how much it would probably cost to
hire a filmographer (don't know if that is the correct descriptor?) to
film a wedding perhaps in Hi-Def mini-dv format?

I was thinking of arranging this as a gift (it's my sister getting
married) but I probably wouldn't be able to afford anyway.

When I eventually settle down and get married I would definitely have
my own wedding filmed and photographed by a professional, but would
only want a small wedding and preferably in a warmer more exotic part
of the world so even if I can't afford to do this for my sis, will
give me an idea for the future anyway.

    Cheers

Depends on location, date, expected duration and (most of all) quality.

You can get your wedding videoed for as little as £150 or as much as £4,000.

I'm at the £1,500 mark, but there are discounts to be had for out-of-season,
    non-Saturday, ceremony-only and wife-doing-the-photography weddings.

Ever heard of 'Yellow Pages' ?

You're far more likely to get a result there than in a newsgroup where
the "rec" is a diminutive for "recreational".
