Laidley on Glass, Historic Photographic display.
Laidley on Glass, is a portrait of a small Queensland Country town just
prior to the start of WW1. Printed from the Original Glass negatives.
    65+ prints. Most 32"x22", and some 18"x22".

7th to 21st June, 10am to 4pm. at 29 Burnett St, Woodend, Ipswich, Qld.

Some of the most beautiful early photos you may ever see in a long time,
and may never be seen again. The photographs were taken by Tom & Sam
Marsden, brothers, who ran a small photographic studio in the main
Street of Laidley, between the 1910’s and 1915. The Marsden Brothers
deserved to be regarded as master of photographic art with some of the
most beautifully posed and detailed photographs of a era.

The prints will be auctioned off after the display, with the money going
to; Starlight Foundation, Ipswich Special School, Ipswich Hospice,
Laidley Hospital, Children’s Ward Ipswich General Hospital, Mater
Children’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, Montrose Home, Community
    Supporting Police Charity.

please do let people know about this, as the more people we can get to
the Auction, the better for the Charities. (It as gotten no sponsorship,
and did not even meet the criteria for putting in an application for a
    Q150 grant....!!!)

Yours sincerely, Sandy Barrie, Hon. LM. AIPP.
