    Dumb question.
At the following site the final ratings are given as five stars.
Sometimes the last star is an outline.

    Is that a half star?

  2. That's what it looks like to me. Dunno what else it could mean.

  3. To me that means 4 stars or one less than five. If it was 4 1/2 stars the
last star would only be half filled in. This is the common what it works.

  4. Not on this site, though. The maximum number of stars is five, but some
ratings for example are three stars and one hollow star, as opposed to three
stars or four stars. IOW the hollow star isn't used to show the number of
places available, it's part of the rating.

There is no explanation given for the hollow (or outline) star, so it looks
like they just assume the reader will understand that's what it means.
