HotShoe Question - RingFlash for Sony DSC F828 Digital Camera?

    Hi all

    I've got a Sony DSC F828 digital camera, it has (acording to the tech.
    spec.) an Advanced Hot-shoe and an ACC terminal.
    I also have a Centon MR20 RingFlash which has a small coaxial lead that I
    have been told can plug into a HotShoe adaptor.

    I have been to Jessops and the bloke told me there are no adaptors available
    that will fit my Sony.

    Is this true? Has anyone got any information on the possibilities of getting
    a RingFlash to work on my Sony?

    The Sony dealer sites I have seen have just got standard flash units that
    sit straight onto the hotshoe.

    ALL Sony electronics are designed with connectors, cables, adapters,
    etc.....which are exclusive to Sony. I remember way back when I needed an
    adapter to make my A/C adapter work on my discman. The guy at Radio Shack
    pointed this out to me. Sony like to try and make sure you have to buy only
    what they sell.

    Lucky for me that Shack sold an adapter kit that would fit the discman.
    Maybe someone out there sells an adapter. I'd ask Radio Shack first.
