Going through the collection and decided to part with my NIKON FG20 in
immaculate condition. Original Nikkor Series E 50mm lens, always protected
    by a filter since new.

    Any ideas welcome.

Strangely enough in Japan it can fetch a tidy sum, through eBay. Pity you
dont have the motor winder. It is worth as much as the camera - since it is
    rare.

So where do I pitch the reserve?

I guess I don't necessarily want to put a reserve on, but I need some idea
of what it's worth, if it's peanuts I'll give it to a friend. OTOH if its a
few hundred bucks I'll sell it.

Why dont you just give it to your friend anyway because if you eBay it and
something doesnt work you will cop a big fat neg.

I did, I gave it to a friend of mine who appreciates good cameras and has
hit hard times recently and had to sell the best collection of Nikon gear
ever. This won't replace it but it's better than nothing :)

    Made me feel all Christmassy.
