    the first choice is just plug the ipad into the computer and drag. it
    doesn't get any simpler than that.
    that can be done.

    itunes backs up the photos but does not sync them in any useful way.

    the way to get photos off an ipad/iphone is with an asset manager such
    as lightroom.

    windows users can also use explorer, however, mac users can't use
    finder for some stupid reason.

    his claim is that os x is mach + aqua. that's a gross simplification.

    as i said, aqua is the interface. there are other components on top of
    darwin, including carbon, cocoa, quartz, opengl, quicktime, foundation
    and more.

    ios is also os x, but has no aqua and its user interface is different.

  6. True, but repeating that Aqua is the user interface doesn't add
    anything to his statement that Aqua is the user interface. It says
    nothing about those other elements you mentioned in your reply to me.
