I would like to set "Low task priority" as default in the Feedback window in DivX encoding sessions.
Is there a way to set this option automatically or do I really have to switch
this every time manually from "Normal" to "low"?

  2. That is more of an operating system question than a rec.video.desktop
question. You might get better response in a newsgroup chartered
for your operating system (unidentified). In several modern
versions of Windows, there is a way to attach certain operating
    paramaters to certain applications.

You might try to look at the registry entries for the program if
there's not a "set default" option within the software. (Of course,
you should be sure to back up the registry before any changes in case
    you don't like the results!)

You might see a numerical setting such as "Priority = 3" or something
like that, and try changing it to a "4" or "5" - depending on how many
levels the software offers for priority.
