The white balance is too blue and the photo is not very sharp. Here's what
I adjusted to improve it substantially:

    - increased color saturation slightly

    - reduced blue channel slightly

    - increased red channel by the same amount

    - increased sharpening

It looks much better with the above adjustments.

  4. Why not post same? Some of us will never go to Rita's site, but I'd love
to see a side by side if you care to post same.

It's too bad that there's no sign of an arc. Perhaps Rita photoshopped a
rainbow out of the picture. Nothing left but a rather clumsy ark of much
    greater dimensions than Noah's.

  8. Well, you got your living poof, I mean proof, right here.

George, Paul, could you please help by setting followups so "Rita"
pollutes only one group at a time?

  9. Actually it's not. Been scoping out some new wildlife areas near Curtis Bay
and took a shortcut through the projects. Interestingly enough you get to
see all kinds of activities, good for the most part. Hell they even had a
police helicopter land in one of the neighborhood playground so the kids
could have an opportunity to get inside for a little show and tell tour.
Wished I had my 28-70/2.8 on me, but just had the trusty old 500. Missed
opportunity, but exciting just the same. You need to get out more, George.

    That sounds sooooooooooooooooooooo exciting.

Did the nice policeman let you sit in their whirly-bird too?

  12. Sure did! I even got to sit on the pilot's lap. But, then again, you'll
never understand the joy and excitement on those kid's faces. Just because
you had a shitty childhood there's no reason to belittle these kid's joy.

Actually John... Aus Photo is so full of sour minded idiots, it probably
deserves all the cross posting just to keep it from being removed from
the Aus. hierarchy... An event very likely to happen in the near future.

Hit a nerve, did I? Sorry for your past.

Did the nice policeman let you touch his 'nightstick' while you were sitting
on his 'sweetspot'? That must have been sheer joy for you!

  17. George! Please help keep a couple of NGs free of "Rita's" cross posted
spam/garbage by setting followups, or at least deleting all but
    rec.photo. Please.
