Illustrator error: Can't open the illustration

Apparently this error isn't very common.

I’m looking for help with "Can't open the illustration" errors, but the errors described always contain more info. My error only says what I stated.

Illustrator gives the error, then "opens" the file, but it's blank.

 

Could you provide some more information? Error message? It's difficult to help you without information. There're alot of reasons why It could happen. Try to reinstall your Illustrator. Or try to open your illustration in another programm. Or It could be the file corruption. In this case you have to try to recover your file. Tha way you will recover your file depends on what kind of corruption you've faced. Withought more information I can only advise you to use some recovery programm like AI Open File Tool or else.
