I am surprised that such 'sightseeing' is allowed. Those homes are obviously not
    emptied of their owner's possesions.

I think you were lucky that dude loading the truck didnt see you. He might have
    decided to kick your ass.

I understood the term 'trailertrash' referred to young girls from slum
'trailerpark' living standards, good only for exploitation of the sexual
    kind.

Yes, Colin - it was a play on words...a joke...get it? Or were you
    disappointed?

If you say so, but since I can't see any relationship between
hurricane-destroyed houses and wayward girls, I have to say I don't get
it. Disappointed? no. Surprised, yes. I did wonder what your pictures
would be of, and I was relieved to find there was no exploitation of
unfortunate females. Senses of humor differ as much as personalities,
so don't feel bad that I didn't 'get it.'

That's a sad picture you paint there, Mike, and it's why I couldn't see
    the 'joke' Dean claims.

Since when does the term refer only to girls? And they don't
actually have to live in a trailer park. As someone said, "In those
down-south Cops episodes, if you see a guy with a mullet and no shirt,
you know that boy is goin' down."

OTOH, I doubt you'll ever see a guy in a three-piece suit on
Cops -- they tend to have lawyers who won't let that happen.

If you read the thread from the top, you would realize that I was
referring to the inappropriate use of the term 'trailertrash' by Dean to
describe hurricane-damaged properties - which weren't trailers, they
    were houses..
Your Wikipedia reference here just reinforces my position, that of an
inappropriate use of the term in Dean's context.
I had no need to grep the 'net. Unlike you, I already knew the meaning
of the term, which you obviously did not, since you had to look it up.
Your own gutter mind is showing here, earwig, as is your snide
pointscoring attitude on this NG. Do us all a favour and keep your
asinine, un-called for, bitter, sniping remarks to your own pitiable
self - and when or if you quit hiding behind an incomprehensible
pseudonym we all might take a little more notice of your verbal
    diarrhoea.

Well, seriously, you are wrong there. I did not killfile you, or say
that I would killfile you. I do not have a killfile. You have me mixed
up with another poster. But, after your nasty ravings, that does not
    surprise me.

    Apology accepted.
Your opinion, not shared, I note, by anyone else.
