I'm somewhat new to iDVD since I don't have a Superdrive (I have an
external burner) and have only been able to use it since iDVD 5 came
out and you can save as a disc image. My problem is I have an iBook
with a 30 gig drive. 10-15 are taken up with the OS, my apps, and my
files, which leaves only 15-20 for iMovie and iDVD. I want to make
hour and a half long DVDs, but of course the DV needed to do that is
much much larger than the paltry 15 gigs I have available (especially
cosidering I need 4.5 for the DVD image). I'm considering getting an
external HD, but for now is it possible to have iDVD encode my movies
and save the mpeg version of them so I can throw away the original
iMovie projects, make new iMovie projects, and then send those to iDVD
for inclusion on the same DVD? I hope I'm being clear enough.
