I notice that blank disks have written on their case 120 minutes (2
    hours) video.
I'm wondering is that the standard setting for good quality video?
Do DVD Recorder owners record at a 2 hour rate per DVD?
On some programs such as, ULead MovieFactory, a 120 minute (2 hour)
setting is listed as Fair Quality. The video rate at this setting is
    4000 kbps.
I can see this being a problem if you wanted to record a movie from TV
to watch later on a DVD Recorder at the 2 hour recording rate and the
movie was over 2 hours long.

    Regards Brian

Regards BrianNot a problem with the Panasonic units because you can record a 2 hour and 15
minute recording (example) at the FR (Flex Recording rate) and the bit rate
will be just slightly less than the 2 hour bit rate and a lot better than the
bit rate in the four hour mode.
