Is it true that the Rebel Xsi Takes better Pictures then T1i, becauseno video?

    I been told that the ideal best picture quality will always come from
    a camera that shoots only still pictures, but a camera that is built
    to also accommodate video shooting , can not also give you best
    quality for still pictures. It has something to do with how the lens
    is built. Is that correct or just a myth. thanks

    Can I post the same question on a different news group, if so, should
    I do it as separate posts or add it to this one?

    No. Video capability does not impede on the still pictures quality.
    And both cameras use the same lenses.
    No real difference in sensor performance between the 2:
