Oh yes oh yes. Your timing was just the thing to get my first chuckle of
    the day!

    Lovely work Annika.

    Cheers,
    Smiling Dave E (Sydney) :))
(Sometimes one has to wonder - all that photographic skill, effort, gear
etc. and what is this dude shooting? Give us a story man. You have talent,
don't waste it. But of course that is only my opinion...).

Well, actually I was talking about Rocha. I sense that a) you are unlikely
to be a bloke (guy, man, male, fella, dude, cobber, digger etc.) and b) that
the chances are that your photographic directions are oriented towards
subjects a little more compelling than stairs, walls, pavements and the
like, given your original post to this thread!

Having said that, this guy Rocha has got some IMHO lovely work to his
credit. I would love to see what he could do with a war-torn village in
Burma or Zimbabwe! Of course this is not in everyone's orientation - I'm
just a bit weird on that front I guess.

A Salgado I am not, but he is my shining example of how powerful the camera
can be given the right orientations. :)

    Cheers,
    Dave E (Sydney)

Just realised that I used 3 variations on the word "orient" in that post.
Time to book a flight perhaps??

    Annika's a bloke, alright.
He's just a bit confused when it comes to screen-names.

Although Bret looks human and male too, we have no evidence whatsoever that
he is either. He keeps posting so many pictures of his family, it's hard to
be sure if they all have 6 legs or 2.

    Hi Daniel,

thanks for responding - I was a bit rude in hindsight and for that I
apologise. We all have our own ideas of what we want to photograph and
that's what makes life most interesting. The important thing is that we're
    out there enjoying ourselves.

However, I was speculating about someone like yourself in a scarred
landscape and the things you could do. I'm sure the results would be quite
amazing! I had lunch yesterday with a friend here in Australia who knows
Salgado. Salgado is a very humble and quiet man who often lives in refugee
camps - sometimes for weeks before taking a single shot. He is all about
    people and their dignity. Wonderful.

Anyway, keep up the good photography - I look forward to seeing more of your
work, and one of these days I'll be brave enough to stick up some of the
shots I've been fortunate enough to take in remote parts of this amazing
    world. :)

    Cheers,
    Dave E (Sydney)

    Hello Dave,
Right. And if everyone make the same photographs, the life will
    be very annoying... :)
    Thanks :)
Salgado seems the be a great man too !
    Thanks Dave ! :)

    Regards,
    Daniel.
