I went to check out the new Kodak Pro SLR EF mount body. It was my sole
intention going to the exhibition at Darling Harbour. My experiences

    1) I was nearly laughed at when mentioned a Canon mount body.(the guy
does not like the word of Canon):)
    2) Had to ask two people before someone knows what camera I was asking
    3) There were two Pro SLR/c available. One is on a guy's shoulder, he
was busy chatting to a friend I think. Did not show the interest to
show me the piece. I walked away after waiting aside for a while. The
second camera is locked in a cabinet. The guy who is looking after it
was using and showing the /n body. When I asked politely if I can check
the /c body, he asked me how much do I want to pay before he opened up
the cabinet and showed to me. Joke aside, I think he looked down at me
and thought I couldn't be someone who can afford something like that
    4) I could not do a test shot, as there is no CF card in there, the
piece will not fire without one by the look of it. I was hoping the
body could be better designed. The shutter button is ugly, and located
in a bad angle. The overall body build quality seems to be not as good
as my D60. Also the focusing is some what slow in my very limited on
    hand tests.

While expecting Pro SLR/c to be a poor man's full frame body, I was not
impressed by the Kodak Australia's marketing people.

and mail in a copy of the recipt to Kodak with a nice
'Thank you for helping me to chose any other brand but yours'
    kind of letter :)

    Doh !

I went there and forgot clean about the /n and got side tracked on a bunch
    of other things then left . . . .

Interestng to hear your comments though as oddly enough I have found it does
translate into the quality / build / price / value for money deliverable
(the camera) they offer - and dont ask me to explain that cos I couldnt.

Maybe you just saved me a load of dough, but oh do I pine for FF, sob, sob.
