Kodak CX6330 jpg compression

    hi. I'm new here.

    I just got a Kodax cx6330. It seems to be overcompressing the jpg
    files, resulting in smudgy jpg artifacts in most of my images. A
    sample of this can be seen here (this file is around 700Kb):

    The face and the mailbox curly cues in this image have particularly
    noticeable distortion.

    Is there any kind of fix or adjustment of the jpg compression that I
    can perform to corect this or is this just a limitation of this
    camera.

    Then again, I enjoy the pics far more than the
    technicalities, so...
