Reported in our local weekend tabloid that Kodak is planning to shed
about 20% of its staff worldwide over the next couple of years as it
slims down to compete in a filmless world. The share price allegedly
    jumped up on the news.

Im quite certain that if Kodak terminated all employement, sold its naming
rights and stopped making photographic products the shares would go even
    higher.

Hands up who owns, or has even seen a Kodak film camera in the last 10
    years?

Kodak is into digital technology. It is just winding down what it already
    knew it would do.
No surprises overall and less costs so share goes up.
