If you're using Version 2.1, we did not support third party cameras.
    With
Version 3.2, which you can get on the web, we do support any camera
    that has
a DCF formatted card ( a DCIM directory indicates that the card is DCF
    formatted)

    A little more info:

    DCF

DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) is a standard adopted by JEIDA for
the storage of images on external media such as flash cards. You can
recognise a card with this configuration by the presence of a DCIM (Digital
Camera IMages) directory at the top. Within that are directories
corresponding to the numbered folders often visible within the camera, and
within each one of those are the image files.

    Hi Fred,

At present we do not have drivers etc. for non Kodak cameras included in the
EasyShare Software. However, Version 3.2 of the EasyShare Software, now on
the web, will support any camera that has a DCF formatted card (you will see
a DCIM folder on the card). If you do it will work.

    Talk to you soon,

  5. a clarification

The camera must have its drivers installed from the original camera CD,
    then:

If the camera is preseted to Windows as a disk and the card is DCF
formatted, EasyShare will recognize it and will automatically transfer the
pictures. The only thing that might not work is the "erase the card when
done" option since some cameras don't support that.
