Kodak printer dock lights?

  1. Hello. I recently bought a Printer Dock 6000 and think it's great. One
baffling design thing though, is the status lights. It makes sense to me
that when you first place the camera on the dock, it goes into "Print
something now" mode; the camera powers up, the dock's print mode light comes
on, the Print button lights up, the camera shows the last picture you took,
ready to print it. So far, so good.

But if you disregard all that, the camera will power itself off after a few
minutes. It's now in "battery recharge" mode. Fine.

Here's what I can't figure out: if I have any pictures on the memory card,
and put the camera into the dock for a recharge, the "Print" button on the
dock turns on...and stays lit up, along with one of the Print Mode
buttons...even after the camera turns off, and is recharging. Seems to me
once the camera turns off, the "Print now" buttons/lights would go off.

Other times, if I dock the camera with NO pictures on the memory card, the
dock's Print button/light and Print Mode button/light are both off. Only the
battery status light(s) are on (showing it's charging).

So, what's the deal? Is there a condition that would make the Print and/or
Print Mode buttons stay lit while the camera's off and recharging? Is the
"normal" light status while charging: Battery status lights ON, all other
    lights OFF? Thanks.
