Does anyone know which was the last camera that Konica
designed before merging with Minolta and shortly after that
    stop making cameras?

    My guess is :
    Konica Digital Revio KD-510Z

I also think that this is very similar to the Minolta, Konica-Minolta
    G400, G600 etc.

    Some related questions:

What about the last camera for film that Konica designed? Or maybe
    that
was later than the last digital?

What was the first camera Konica/Konishiroku designed and
    manufactured?

Does there exist a good book on the history of Konica Cameras. It is
    rather
easy to find bits and pieces on the net. But sometimes it is nice to
    sit down
and read a real book on paper.

    /S

It might not be the answer you were looking for, but Konica was
developing a digital rangefinder camera when the disastrous merger
with Minolta took place. Two proptotypes were made, one with a full
frame 24x36mm sensor and the other with a 1.5X APS-C size sensor.

The new company dropped the project, and ended production of the
Konica Hexar RF 35mm rangefinder and its Hexanon range of lenses. A
further disaster occurred when Sony took over the camera business of
Konica Minolta and conveniently "lost" the spare parts stock for the
    Hexar RF and AF ranges.

My intention was to find out which was the last camera designed,
    manufactured
and available for purchase. But your information is very interesting.
    I did
read about a digtal Hexar in several forums etc. But I thought that it
    was
only factless speculation or wishful thinking. Do you have any
    pointers
to more details or pictures of the prototypes? And did Konica have
    further
development plans for the Hexar RF (the existing film one)?

I thought that Digital Hexar was only external speculation and wishful
thinking. Do you have any pointers to more details or pictures of
    prototypes?
