  1. Lens internal dust removal - Panasonic ZS-8, advice needed.
Its a great camera. Fits my needs exactly.
However, its used in nasty industrial environments.

Dust has gotten inside the lens on my new cam.
I'm pretty sure its inside the lens since they go in
and out of focus depending on zoom length and not
    bad pixels.
They leave dark spots on the photos.

    Advice needed for dust removal.
Try to find a local Houston, TX Panasonic repair
shop or send to Panasonic or ???
Stick the vacuum hose on the lens?
Dust off stuff does nothing since its internal.

Let a camera repair guy do it unless the front/back elements unscrew.

    Or even if they do!

In future, some sort of underwater housing might be worth trying, to
    keep the dust out.

  4. Thanks. A few weeks ago several people here pointed me towards
Aquapac, et. al. for my rain cover concerns. Guess I will have
to keep my camera under cover most of the time because of dirt.
Makes me wonder what the stuff does to lungs...
