    Hello,
I've asked over on ukrw but to no avail so I'll try here.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/5654036512/in/photostream/

This was a holiday snap (not taken by me) and I'm now pretty sure that it
    was in the lakes.
The photo in question was part of a Wordsworth display, so could be
    somewhere along Rydal Beck maybe?

I know it's not very distinguishable from many falls and being so small
probably has no name but does anyone have any idea?

    Thank you.

You should search for this yourself rather than ask others to do it
for you. It's a bit of a cheek.

Use Google to search on "Rydal Beck". When the results appear, click
on "Images" in the left column. You will then be presented with pages
of thumbnails of images related to Rydal Beck. Off you go!

Thank you ever so much for lesson on how to use a computer.
As it happens I have been using the internet since well before the web
existed and am fully aware of how to use Google to it's full potential.

This picture, however, is of a very minor waterfall somewhere (possibly on
Rydal beck) and I am not familiar with the lake district. Many however are
very familiar with the lake district and if this happens to be on a well
used footpath then somebody may well recognise it.

Thank you again for your oh so useful input.

Of you to tell people what to do? Yes, it is.
Maybe it's you who should be off, twat.

It seems you would also benefit from attending adult literacy classes.

Ah, the good old 'result to insults' tactic. You win.

Perhaps you meant to say "resort to insults"?

You really are a complete dope. My suggestion of adult literacy
    classes looks ever more appropriate.

But I suppose that, true to form, you would post on a newsgroup or two
asking other people to take the classes for you! ;-)

You realise that a grammar flame is as good as an admission of defeat?

  11. We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
It looks like it's been shot from a pathway, which might be adjacent to
a road, so if you're lucky you *might* find it on Google Earth
    streetviews.
It's worked for me in the past - so give it a go.

I agree with you, a search like that could take many hours and even then
not find the answer but someone familiar with the area could take one
look and know immediately know where it is.

I take a lot of pictures of boats and sometimes can't identify them. A
Google search will usually bring up screens full of spurious commercial
sites without answering the question but more often than not, a question
asked in the right place gets a quick answer.

Thank you all. I did eventually find it with the help of another newsgroup.

Just in case you're interested it's at the bottom of Helvellyn Gill.
