Anyone who has one, how long do the AA batteries last, is it (the camera)
power hungry and do you find you're needing to replace the batteries all the
time? If only it had a rechargable battery with it...Would love to hear some
    feedback! Thanks in advance,

    Geoff.

A set of nimh AA cells lasts for about 5 hours of semi-continuous
shooting. (on for an hour, shooting every 2-3 minutes, off for a few
minutes to change memory card then back on again ect).

Batteries have NOT been a big concern while using the S5000.

I usually set out for a day of shooting with 3 fully charged sets of
batteries, and I have yet to need that third set.

Definately go the rechargeable route, the newer nimh batteries seem to
last a VERY long time before "giving up the ghost".
