I am interested in learning how to draw images such as icons and
graphics for web pages. All of the books I see for photoshop are for
managing photos which is what photoshop is for. Is there any books on
how to draw images? Are there any software packages that are better than
    photoshop for drawing?

    thanks for the help

Yes, GOOGLE for drawing information, checking with your local library, and
there is nothing better than the one you know best.

This is what you need to get thing started.

    1. Get yourself a Tablet and spending few months to master the pen.

    2. Then you can use Photoshop or just about any graphic program you know
    best.

That's it! and depending on what type of drawing you can use Photoshop,
the MicroSoft Paint comes with Windows, or just about thing program that you
know best, and having some drawing skill.

And if you want to learn how to draw, then you may try the screen saver
program called DrawingHand for displaying, and ArtStudio for drawing I
believe the author has decided to give it free in order to sell the
    DrawingHand screen server displaying.
