Hi, all!! I'm looking for a decent (and preferably light-weight) wide-angle
zoom in the range 28-100mm to mate with my Nikon FM3A for backpacking, and
was hoping for some suggestions. Doesn't have to be fast, but I don't want
some slow dog, either! ;) I have some great lenses for both ranges already,
but I don't want to lug around a bunch of lenses on my backcountry trips.

    Thanks!

Why not the well known 28-105? It is an AF lens but works perfect with
manuel focus on a FM3A. Björn Rörstett has made a review.

There is not a lot of choice here:Nikon or non-Nikon. I have the Nikon AF
and it is a very good all round lens with reasonable
sharpness/contrast/distortion for this class of zoom.
