    photography?
    Thanks.

I believe the "For Dummies" series has one on Digital Photography. Their
books are always make a very friendly read!

  4. Most of what you need to know (to get a good start) is basic photography.
    Check out your local library.

Post-processing is another issue. For example, if you buy Photoshop you'll
find that there is a LOT to learn about using that.

Printing is another issue, if you plan to make your own. Toss in monitor
    calibration with this one.

Then there is emailing shots, archiving your work, your own web site,
    selling your work, etc.

A BIG component is the manual that comes with the digital camera. Plan on
reading that several times and experimenting as you read. Add to that the
camera specific user groups such as those at dpreview.com.

I have found no book that covers all of the above. Does not mean that it's
    not out there.
