Looking to buy new digital camera-recommendations?

  1. I'm looking to buy a new digital camera, around 5 megapixels, maybe more,
and in the $300-400 price range. I had a Sony DSC T7 over the summer, but it
got stolen in Europe. Until recently, I was planning to buy the same one
again, but after reading reviews and reviewing my low light/nighttime
pictures, I remembered that it did not take very good pictures at night or
in low light sitautions. I loved it for its size though--most sites say
it's the thinnest one out there now--and it took gorgeous pictures in
daylight. I'm also a big Sony fan. However, I've been reading about the
Canon Powershot cameras, and a photography friend has recommended the Nikkon
Coolpix series. I am pretty much a beginner--I don't really know much about
    photography--but I don't want a simple point-and-shoot with NO manual
controls either. I liked that the Sony T7 had many manual controls I could
play with. Any recommendations/expeiences to share for these cameras?

  2. Check out the Casio Exilim EX-Z750. It's just excellent quality and has an
incredible amount of features. And because a new version (Z850) is coming
out, the price is dropping dramatically as well. For a very extensive review
