Loose Nikkormat Back Release

I have a Nikkormat FT2 and the side-mount back release lever has come
loose. There are two 'hollow' screws that hold it on, and I was
wondering if there is a special tool used to tighten them from the
inside of the camera body (the film cavity) or if the only way to
tighten them is to remove the textured covering from the outside of
    the release lever?

    Thanks for any help,
    Louis

    Nicholas,
Many thanks for your help with this - will give this a try.
Thanks, too, for your suggestion of rubber cement.

    Best,
    Louis
