Low Quality Capture than High Quality Export in Premiere Pro

    Is it possible to capture at a very low resolution in order to save on
    disk space and then when the final production is ready, have premiere
    recapture at full resolution, only the files that it needs?
    I'm thinking of how it is possible to log clips using batch capture and
    then premiere asks you to insert the correct tape for the final
    capture.
    If it were possible to capture at a preview resolution first and then
    have the software recapture only the necessary clips for the final
    video that could save huge amounts of disk space.
